That's a nice progression of monthly totals. Congrats on breaking the $100 mark in monthly dividends (and in the same month as me). Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteDeedubs,
ReplyDeleteThanks buddy. April should be a little better with the yearly NVS dividend. I will probably hold off most of my buying this year until the second half unless we get a nice pullback. Good luck to you as well!
Have you done any type of analysis for purchasing companies on a weekly basis instead of a monthly or quarterly basis? I'm thinking that the costs are $1 per trade minimum of 12 trades is more expensive than other brokerages. I can only see this as beneficial to someone who is just starting their portfolio with DCA and diversification whereas its higher costs than someone who has already diversified their portfolio.
ReplyDeleteHi Dividend King,
DeleteIt's not $1 per trade. It's $0 per trade up to 12 trades plus a $12/month fee for this program. So if I make exactly 12 trades then it comes out to $1/trade average. If I purchase $2400 worth of stock I'm only at a .5% expense ratio. I'm averaging closer to $5k currently and plan to up that later in the years. That's closer to a .25% expense ratio. Just one trade at E*Trade is $9.99 and I'd at least be making two trades a month so I'm saving a lot.
