Options Trades:
I sold puts in TWGP. I closed or had expired puts in TWGP, NSC, SWY, CAT and LO. I earned only $265 in profits due to me rolling a put forward in TWGP losing $510. My total profit for the year so far is $3136. I’ve updated all of these trades on my Options tab.
Dividends:
I earned $1059.10 in dividends for the month. I finally cracked the $1000 mark in a single month! I don’t expect to hit this mark again until December since I have the majority of my payers that month. My total year-to-date dividend income is now $4058.79 and I’ve now surpassed my options income with dividends. I’ve updated my dividend income on my Dividends tab.
Forward 12-month Dividends:
My expected future 12-month dividend income has increased to $7754.07 from $7200.71, an increase of 7.1% ($553.36) in one month. You can find my actual monthly dividend information from the Dividends page.
Goals:
I have completed all but 3 of my goals. I’m very close to hitting my $450k net worth goal. If the market cooperates then I should hit this goal in October. All of my goals can be found on the Goals tab.
Real Estate:
I have paid down my condo rental to eliminate PMI and I am considering overpaying on the note to just pay it completely off within a year or two. I posted about that here.
I pulled the trigger on a solar system and the install starts at the end of October. It should be up and running in November. If you missed the post, I made some comparisons on solar systems here.

Net Worth:
My goal is to hit a net worth of $450k by the end of the year. I started January at $334k and I’m currently at $448k. This is an increase of $16k Since last month. I only need another $2K to meet my goal.
Looking Ahead:
October is one of my lower paying months so my current projection is about $368 in dividends. I only need another $1000 in dividends for the rest of the year to meet my goal of $5k in dividend income.
Since I’ve already met my forward income goal of $6500, I’m now shooting for $8500. In order to reach this new goal, I will need to contribute another $21,312 to my portfolio this year at an average yield of 3.50%. I’m currently averaging $8937/month in contributions so I think I’ll make this new goal.

I noticed a few investors have recently gotten in on Visa. It’s an interesting company and i’ll do an analysis on V soon.
Good luck with TWGP. I almost bought shares @ about $13 and then again this week @ about $7 but I chickened out both times. I don’t know the company all that well, but judging by the share price, it would seem that some have liitle faith in a come back. When I bought SNC Lavalin and JPMorgan, both were in the middle of a scandal – and I have done fairly well on both. Sometimes, it’s the best time to buy. I think I just convinced myself to buy some TWGP!

I love Visa’s business model. They are a cash cow. The dividend is low but the growth is high and they have a low payout. I would also expect a lot of capital gains.
I hope you didn’t buy into TWGP. They are down to about $4.50/share after reporting larger than expected losses. I don’t know if this is the last hammer to drop but I’m scared about this company. I trimmed some shares this morning for a loss and will hold the rest.

Shortly after the market opened this morning, I logged in to place a limit order @ $7.00 and noticed a 35% price drop. After furthur investigation, the words “examening strategic options” scared me away!
