When I started this blog back in March of 2012, I didn’t think anyone would be interested in what I was doing. I’ve been surprised and met a lot of fellow bloggers that have the same goals in mind. That goal is typically to reach financial independence (FI) at an early age. Some of us have different strategies on how to get there.
Some bloggers have a normal middle class income but have created a massive portfolio in a short amount of time by living life frugally and investing every penny they can save (Dividend Mantra comes to mind).
Other bloggers are leveraging every penny they can by buying real estate as quickly as possible (FI Fighter comes to mind) in hopes of bringing in massive cash flows that just keep growing.
I tend to find myself somewhere in between. I have two rentals and a growing dividend growth portfolio. I’m not the most frugal person (I do try) but I own my own business and am still able to invest the majority of all my income so that some day, I too can reach FI at an early age.
There’s always new blogs popping up and I honestly don’t care that much about receiving the most page views. It just usually happens to be the byproduct of producing engaging and interesting articles. So I promise to continue posting updates of my financial life in order to keep track myself and also to network with other like-minded people out there to bounce ideas off of them.
Hopefully some of you will enjoy reading what I have to say this year!
