Dividend Increase – Toronto Dominion (TD)

February 27, 2014 by All About Interest 6 Comments

TD announced today a dividend increase from C$0.43 to C$0.47 , a 9% increase.  The dividend is payable April 30, 2014 to shareholders of record April 03, 2014.

What’s great about this is that TD in the last couple of years has been increasing the dividend more than once per year, once in February and once in August.  This is a very solid increase!

Since I own 140.83 shares, this will increase my yearly dividends by $20.38 (after the $1 C dollar = $0.90 conversion).  This is the 10th stock in my portfolio to increase their dividend already this year.

Here’s a bonus fast graphs:

      Hi FF Dividend,

So far they are the only Canadian bank I own and I’ve been happy with them.

      Take care!

    Another company for my watchlist!
The consensus details from Reuters are better than for Bank of Nova Scotia!

I have really to check out the companies from Canada!
    As fast as possible!

    Best whishes!

      D-S,

I like BNS also but ended up going with TD. This was definitely a nice dividend boost for a fairly high yielder!

      Thanks for stopping by!

Hello. I noticed you report frequent weekly purchases. How much are your commissions on trades and which broker? Thanks.

      Hi Anonymous,

My weekly buys are done in my ShareBuilder account. For $12/month, I get 12 trades for free. As long as the total of my trades are over $2400 then my fees are below .5%. For me, this is much cheaper than any other broker. They are also ending the program soon and going to a flat $3.95/trade structure so if you want in, now is the time.

      Cheers
