I had another Coca-Cola option expire worthless over the weekend. I recently had one expire in May collecting $177 in premiums and I’m collecting even more premiums this time.
The original trade:
01/23/14 Sold 1 KO Aug 16 ’14 $39 Put @ 2.00; posted here
Since KO was trading above the $39.00 on 08/16, this option expired worthless and I get to keep $200 in options premiums.
I currently have 7 open options positions and profit for 2014 of $1602.
My options page has been updated accordingly.
Nice premium income! Looks like you took a loss earlier this year that put you back a bit.
I’m slowly ramping up on options and preparing a new blog that I’ll be launching next year. So far, I’ve made $1,442 in realized profits, with 4 open trades also in positive territory ($367 at a cost basis of -$1,704). All short puts.
Do you know of other bloggers that try to boost dividend income with option premiums?

Hi DivGro,
Thanks, I’ve done really well selling puts against KO. I did start out the year with a big loss on a speculative position, TWGP. Otherwise my total profits would be a lot higher.
That’s great you’re using options and congrats on a nice amount of profits so far. I love selling puts on companies I already own or want to own!
Yes, I know that SimplyPuts does a lot of put selling as well as hello suckers. Actually simplyputs has a list of about 10 bloggers that use options, it’s worth checking out.
I look forward to seeing some of your trades!
